Great article Jerred. I agree with your thoughts ! Would be nice to know the lenses/cameras you used and your thoughts on how you enjoyed using them for close up images. Were the heavier cameras a pain to lug around?
Hey, Jay! I didn't mind carrying them, but they're not very versatile! OM stuff handles a lot more easily and can do a lot more - doubling as close-ups, for instance, while I find myself constantly changing lenses on GFX, which also stinks because you have to bring more lenses. For this stuff through, I just brought out one at a time. Hope this helps.
Your post brings to mind Voltaire's line about 'we must cultivate our own garden' :) I also do a lot of photography right around where I live. I understand the impulse to go looking afar to get that amazing shot but there's sufficient beauty and subject matter to contemplate right here near home. Keep on keeping on, Jerred, your work has great impact!
Thanks so much, Doug! It's crazy but when I first got really into photography - like REALLY into it, I would drive ANYWHERE but here to take photos. I'd have to be hours away! Now I find so much in a small area!!!! Thanks again for the encouragement.
