I was teaching a photography class a few years ago, and when class finished, I often hung around at the camera store to talk to the students. One time a photographer asked me: “you should teach a class about what to do with all these damn photographs I keep taking. Can I sell them or something? I have no clue how to even start.”
She had a good point! Her work was amazing, and she had hundreds of sellable images. She just didn’t know what to do.
I started asking the students in all my classes if they sell their work. The answer was almost always: no. And most of the time it was because the students didn’t know how to start.
There were too many options. Pricing? Platforms? Most of my students were overwhelmed… but no more. I can help!
So the question is: do you want to start selling your work?
I’m not talking about changing careers here or promising that you’ll be able to quit your day job. I’m talking about taking YOUR AWESOME PHOTOS (that deserve to be seen) and making them available for people to buy in a simple, easy way.
Why not do this? Every time you decide NOT to sell your photos, you’re depriving others of enjoying your work.
So start selling!
There are no downsides… you get to make a few extra dollars while helping make the world more beautiful.
Are you READY?
Then you need to join my livestream tonight, where I’ll teach the group a quick and easy way for people to buy your work. The easy part: you don’t even have to print or ship the stuff!
You need to join us tonight on the Megapixel Road Community, at 7p.m. Central time, March 31.
Can’t make it? There will be a recording you can watch afterwards - AND you can always jump into the community to ask questions, share success stories, and more.
There’s no pressure or cost to join - so give this community a chance!
As you probably know I (mostly) left Facebook and Instagram, so I’m building something on my own: a small group of kind, like-minded photographers who want to focus more on what matters in photography, and less time being beholden to an algorithm.
The photo above? It’s NOTHING SPECIAL… but I’ve sold it a ton.
The key to selling your work isn’t having the best photography: it’s having your photography available to the right person at the right time… and you can’t even start letting that happen without a place for people to buy your work.
So start the process NOW and join our livestream tonight!
I think Darkroom ships to 100 countries, so you should be ok! https://intercom.help/darkroom/en/articles/5899491-where-does-darkroom-ship-to
I'd love to see the recording afterwards if possible! But could you give any hint of whether the platform you're using is available to print/ship within the EU or is it only US-based?
