Looks like he’s been bitten by the photography bug! His sense of composition is great. He’s not hung up on leading lines, rule of thirds, etc. He’s just doing it naturally. - Well done article by both of you!

I remember when my niece picked up a Minolta 35mm on a trip here when she was in high school. We walked around shooting together. It was an amazing moment!
As an aside, I've been thinking of trading up from my EM-1 II which is getting zero use to an OM-1 II for my birding trips, but the OM-3 seems to be handling it all. Just curious of your thoughts on that.

As far as the OM-1II, it's great! It's mostly a larger OM-3 - so handling the bigger lenses is more comfortable for many people. I find the OM-3 wonderful on almost any lens though. The ONLY lens I thought was a lot better on the OM-1 is the 150-400... but I don't think I'll be buying that big thing anytime soon, so it's not a big deal to me! The OM-1 II also has a better buffer, more buttons for customization, and the EVF is noticeably better when viewed side-by-side. The OM-1 II also has two card slots. Honestly, i've been thinking of selling mine and just getting another OM-3 since I use the OM-1II less and less the more I use the OM-3! I do know some birders who swear the OM-1 II is far more suited to serious birding - but since I'm not a serious birder (or wildlife guy) - it's not a big deal for me. Hope this helps!
