I love this post! It reminds me that I just need to get out. We have some small towns where I live that I could go to, or some nice areas for nature landscape photography. Only bummer was that when I looked at the set of photos you took with the 300mm lens, I saw it was with the OM-1. I was hoping you might have tried it with the OM-3. 😁
Thanks, Pbl!!!! Yeah, getting out is key - I tell myself that every day! And I have used the 300 in the OM-3 quite a bit - it’s FINE - but not super comfy when handholding out in the field for a while. it just fits nicer on the OM-1 for me!
That makes sense. I got a 3rd party group for my OM-3 but so far the only long lens I have is the 40-150mm f2.8 and I’ve actually found that fine without a grip. Haven’t tried with a converter though. I won’t be getting an OM-1, sticking with small and have been having so much fun with the OM-3 that I don’t miss the OM-1 I had. Anyway, love your photos, posts and videos - thanks!
