Thank you for demonstrating the coolest part of this camera and using it as Fuji intended. IMHO majority of reviews just pass the feature over when it’s the coolest part!

Thanks, Ian!

Love the projects. They just inspired a new project of mine. It’s the ricochet inspiration from the x-half!

Also, Amiga 500 FTW!

Jerred: What a wonderful post. 2 reasons: 1) I, too, own a Fuji Xhalf and I like it very much, despite or due to the limitations, I cannot say. I have it with me every day - it makes a difference to use a camera rather than a phone. My camera is in M and I use the mechanical aperture (mainly). 2) Scrolling through your pictures, I was like "oh, this looks like Nebraska". When I saw the pictures you took at Joslyn, I knew I was right. As an exchange student I graduated from Central in 1990. In Humanities we often had assignments at the Joslyn (typo in your headline btw). Seems like the place hasn't changed that much during the years. So thank you for sharing your pictures. (Where do you teach, btw?)

HA! Thanks for the typo correction - I was going too fast as always! And that's awesome about being in Central in 1990 - I bet that was interesting. Big building! And thanks for the kind comments - I no longer teach - I quit a little over five years ago!

As much as I don't like this camera, you make me want one haha!

You know… this is secretly my second round with it and I never thought I’d buy it… but now suddenly I’m in a totally different mindset, and it fits in with my current mindset about the fun/creative stuff I do on the side that isn’t the main gig!

also 80s kid, and this is interesting, hmm, how big is the sensor? not apsc?

Jerred Z's avatar

Hey, Pavel! It's a small sensor, so not great in low light especially! It's a 1-inch vertical sensor.

thanks, I see, I consider getting OM Tough 7 with even smaller sensor, so 1 inch is a king size if compared :)

I always know I'm going to come across some interesting colours and imaginative photos when Jerred posts - well done man, happy new year
