2026: More Art. Less Noise.
I hate resolutions, but I (WE) can do this!
I was talking with my wife this morning about the new year. We don’t do resolutions any longer, but she’s talked about a MORE/LESS concept.
It goes something like this: start the new year with a simple list of what you want MORE of, and a list of what you want LESS of. I love this concept and decided to do it.
I won’t get into my “less” list here, but I wanted to share my MORE list in the hopes it might be a useful spark for someone out there. Feel free to steal, I think it’s pretty good:
1 - Friends and Family - Putting them first. More adventures. Reaching out.
2 - Mind and Body - Playing with cats. Photo walks. Mindfulness. Gratefulness. (This list can go on - but I’m cool with that. These aren’t checklists or resolutions, but easy ideas to improve my mind and body.)
3 - Photography and Art - Community. Adventures. Experiments. FULL WEIRDNESS. Lean in on my inner child like never before and create art without expectations and for the pure joy of it. I want to spill my inner strangeness into stuff I put on walls and for other people to look at it and say: “that’s weird…” but then they can’t get it out of their heads.

I took some cool photos in the past month, all driven by my intense desire to learn how to express myself better.
I don’t know why these photos resonate with me (all of them on this page), but my inner compass is pointing this way.
What about you? What’s on your “more” list?
Happy New Year, everyone. Here’s to a 2026 that WILL be a year, no matter what happens. :)
Jerred (Thanks for being here.)
